Which of these Performance and Style, Digital ELPH Cameras is best to buy ?

I'm looking for a digital camera that has good quality and high resolution that is user friendly. i'm using the camera for taking pictures with friends, places, things, etc. i like photography, but not i'm not planning on becoming a hardcore photographer. just taking pictures of scenery, people doing abstrack things, etc. just for fun.and i like to photoshop pictures. so yeah. basically, it's really for everyday use.

i just want the best kind of camera with really good picture quality.

please compare and choose for me.

Some of these are not so much beautiful photos as they are to illustrate a point for answers, but you can still look at the image to evaluate the quality. If they have been altered, I will mention that in the description.

This has been replaced or upgraded by the SD990IS, but I'm not sure I'd want 14 million pixels on the same sensor.

If you don't want to spend quite that much (about $340 for the SD950-IS), look for the SD1100-IS. It's an upgrade from the SD1000 recommended above and I'd say that the "IS" feature is well worth it. You might not find the SD1000 anymore anyhow.
