I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V and I'm trying to use Soft snap, but can not?

Well, I know this is a very difficult question to get a lot answers, but how do I use my Soft Snap digital camera? My brother has a different camera and your photos are great Soft Snap, and I want to try it on my camera just does not work. I'm going to Scene Selection, Soft Snap and select exit. I have a soft Snapshot icon in the corner. Then, when I took a picture which is exactly the same as a normal photo. No soft background. What should I do?

Thus "Soft Snap" must produce funds blurry? They are typically achieved through a combination of large aperture zoom, and the distance between subject and background. Small P & S cameras are not very good at this, because they can not - they just are not big enough. Move the subject further from the background, and a step back to yourself (then zoom in). This way you maximize the effect of the possible.
